On the coast rises the "Torre Vecchia", a cylindrical tower, with massive creasing in stone ashlars, erected in the XVI century to the coast guard against barbaric incursions. The tower was guarded by a corporal and a soldier who had the task of monitoring day and night and indicate the presence of suspected ships with special signals: smoke during the day and the bonfire night. The access to the inside of the tower was by a rustic wooden drawbridge.
