“E-Bike, panoramas with taste” reduces efforts and opens perceptions wide. Gluttons for pleasure and beauty, in Val di Fiemme, grind “zero kilometers” between Dolomite panoramas, Tibetan bridges and the tracks of an old train.
Dedicated E-Bike tours, in Val di Fiemme, skim Unesco panoramas, among Dolomite passes, “pink” climbs of the Giro d’Italia, Tibetan bridges, mountain huts, music trees, the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Nature Park and a 50-kilometer trail: the Dolomites bike path.
The e-bike’s very light assisted pedaling allows you to tackle longer trips. You can thus get closer to destinations that, until a few years ago, were only within the reach of those with many miles of training in their legs. Small, regular efforts, and never over your head, cross the meadows surrounding small villages, such as Carano, Daiano and Varena, where the silence is interrupted only by cow bells.
One of the most amazing routes to take on an e-mtb is the “Vecia Ferrovia,” which starts in Castello di Fiemme. It is named after the route of the little train that connected Ora to Val di Fiemme and the mountain bike race of the same name that takes place from Ora to Molina di Fiemme every year. The first 5 km, up to the San Lugano Pass, are paved, while the rest of the route is unpaved. Passing through the fir and larch forests of the lower Val di Fiemme, after about 20 kilometers you reach Ora, to meet the very long Adige bicycle path: to be taken in the direction of Trento or toward Bolzano, along the Strada del Vino.
Those who want to pedal toward the discovery of ancient recipes, authentic flavors and spring menus can stop at the restaurateurs and producers of Tradizione e Gusto della Val di Fiemme. Here, mouth-watering stops are suggested to sample the knowledge of grandparents, including fresh or aged speck and lucaniche, cheeses that smell of flowering pastures, malga butter, pasta made with fine semolina, edible flowers, medicinal herbs, small fruits, jams and fruit creams, natural infusions and craft beers.
With the e-bike from Val di Fiemme you can easily reach Val di Cembra. Here, among the oldest vineyards in Trentino, visit the wineries of the Cembrani Doc consortium to taste excellent wines such as the famous Müller Thurgau.
