Castello di Spessa Golf & Wine Resort of Capriva, to discover the villages of Friuli

Cividale del Friuli, Sappada, Venzone: a set of enchanted villages, starting from Cividale, Unesco heritage, passing through Sappada - awarded the orange flag - to get to Venzone, dotted with lavender that colors it with lilac and scented violet brushstrokes. To discover these and many other villages in the region there must be a starting point and then among the locations you must mark the castle of Spessa di Capriva del Friuli, an elegant Golf & Wine Resort on the hills of the Gorizia hills. A prestigious address, synonymous with relaxing walks through vineyards and woods along the paths that leave outside the door of the farmhouse, or the discovery of the Collio in the saddle on bicycles or the Vespa "yellow Ribolla" made available to guests of the resort. A source of surprises that begin in the park that crowns the castle with the romantic "literary walk" among ancient trees, bersò and balconies decorated with statues: ten stages marked by wrought iron tables where Casanova sentences are engraved - among the guests most illustrious of the manor - on love, women, friendship and life. In the resort you can play golf on the 18-hole course, whose path intertwines with the vineyards, a prelude to wine tasting in the scenic medieval cellars of the castle or even cooking classes taught by Tonino Venica, executive chef of the castle. At the resort it is a pleasure to choose, starting from the proposals for stay: those who prefer the elegant atmosphere of ancient residences, full of history, can stay in the Castle, dating back to the thirteenth century, where they were obtained fifteen suites furnished with furniture Eighteenth and nineteenth century Italian and Central European. Those who prefer a more informal setting can opt for the ten rooms with the country chic tone of the Tavernetta al Castello, the result of the restoration of an old farmhouse at the foot of the castle, which also houses the homonymous Gourmand restaurant. Finally, for those who love the total freedom offered by a holiday in the apartment, here are six apartments with attention to detail and obtained from the renovation of an old farmhouse overlooking the green.
