In spring, nature awakens and calls everyone to take part, depending on their inclination. Maybe riding an alpaca, in the heart of the Valtellina, or mountain biking, for glimpses of enchanted villages

Valtellina, among the villages in alpaca

The mild temperatures encourage people to spend time outdoors and experience the rebirth of nature, choosing destinations and activities that match the diapason of their personality. The Valtellina, for example, in the heart of the Lombardy Alps, meets the interests of all sportsmen who can fill up their health here, practicing any sport. For those who prefer slow tourism, however, Valtellina boasts many opportunities, even curious and unusual. In fact, the valley can be discovered on the alpacas of the Azienda Agricola La Foppa in Caspoggio or on the Bella Vita Alpaca farm in Busteggia. And why the alpacas? Because they are masters of slow rhythms, and with their step accompany through specially designed itineraries to discover the most authentic corners of the valley: guided to the longhorn, the alpacas retrace the ancient "milk ways", reach villages suspended in time and shelters . And once at the top, here you can taste the delicious local pizzoccheri, expertly cooked with the excellent alp cheese. For those who prefer the two wheels of mountain biking, the Valtellina is an immense open-air gym and wherever you can find a path: from the simplest to the most challenging, from the flat trails to those with more than a thousand meters in altitude. To admire - literally - the valley from top to bottom, the "Via dei terrazzamenti" is the ideal route and allows you to cross the terraced areas of Valtellina for about seventy kilometers on the sunny side between the towns of Tirano and Morbegno. An itinerary to capture all the landscape show of the territory, punctuated by villages, one more intriguing than the other.
