Castello di Gropparello, court wedding

According to tradition, marriage is "the" most beautiful day in life, but once it was not like that. In fact, in the Middle Ages, the celebrations that followed the ceremony lasted well over a day. For lovers of traditions and commemorations under the banner of Cupid, the castle of Gropparello - in the hills of Piacenza - dedicates a "two days" under the banner of the re-enactment of the marriage between Rosania Fulgosio and Pietro da Cagnano. The program is rich: Saturday 2nd June 2018, in addition to the adventures for children in the "Fairy Tale Park" and the visit to the castle, you can watch the "Promise Tournament", during which young and valiant knights face each other to win the title of "Champion of the castellana". Who wins the challenge, takes the colors of the beautiful lady, who becomes the protagonist of the impending "Wedding at the court". Sunday, June 3rd, 2018, in fact, starting from ten in the morning, the castle of Gropparello is transformed into the frame of a wedding ceremony, complete with living pictures. A festive setting to welcome the parade of commoners and nobles, led by a regal Rosania. At the end of the ceremony, the Fairytale Park is transformed into the theater of a great adventure that sees the children as protagonists, the little knights who have come from all over the kingdom to take part in the wedding.
