Renon plateau: apples, farmsteads and honey

In spring on the Renon plateau, taste and wellbeing are the great protagonists of the season, with a full calendar of events and appointments that focus the spotlight on tasty local delicacies. Among the proposals, here is "Alto Adige Balance", a program full of initiatives to savor all that the territory has to offer, then there are the days dedicated to the apple, absolute South Tyrolean star: throughout the month of May, in fact, on the Renon it is possible to choose diversified packages, all in the name of days full of emotions. Some examples? In the morning we begin with a walk along the paths of the plateau, then we continue with a farmhouse lunch in Signato and then we end with a visit to the Kohl farm in Auna di Sotto, to discover the nectar of apple juice by Thomas Kohl, that has been growing apples for over twenty years at 900 meters in height. In the name of fun and health, however, here is the cooking class with chef Florian Schweigkofler of the Wiesenheim restaurant: specializing in healthy and light cooking, the chef reveals how to prepare tasty menus of spring dishes with natural ingredients, many of which grow spontaneously in the surroundings. Last but not least, the "all-honey" excursion stands out, which includes a visit to the apiary and the historic Plattner farm, home to the Beekeeping Museum and, later, a stop at Hotel Rinner to discover "ApiAir Wellness" . In fact, thanks to a special inhaler, participants can test the benefits of an ancient custom: inhaling the air in the hives, rich in substances that can cure respiratory diseases, allergies and relieve stress and headaches. Curiosity from nature, applied to modern inventions that make you feel good.
