Lagoon Archeological Museum

What to see in Marano Lagunare, Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia

this precious reality museum preserves over five hundred artifacts discovered in various localities of the lagoons of Marano and Grado and the coastal area behind.

The visit to the museum will give you the opportunity to retrace the most significant stages of life settlements of the lagoon (age neolotica and bronze, in roman times, up to the Middle Ages and the Renaissance) and to compare the various landscape transformations undergone by the surrounding territory in the course of the centuries.

In the Archaeological Museum in the Lagoon of Marano Lagunare you can admire numerous finds linked to the daily life of the past: from ceramic to canteen and kitchen to Lucerne, to pottery glass objects of common use in bronze, up to coins.
