The Da Brun restaurant owes its name to the family that for three generations has run this restaurant located right in the heart of the Prosecco Valdobbiadene production area. Here, among gentle hills, vineyards and woods, the Brun family carries on a cuisine linked to tradition, where grilled meat is the master.
It was in 1957 that Lino bought this wonderful farmhouse in Cison di Valmarino, on top of one of the many hills that characterize the territory of the high Marca Trevigiana. Even today Lino's grandchildren and family welcome guests in their restaurant from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the vineyards and the surrounding countryside. Inside the house there are large rooms with rustic furniture, with wood and exposed bricks. In winter the most comfortable place is near the big fireplace, just as it used to be done in the past. In summer, instead, the restaurant also opens a delightful outdoor space, with the possibility to dine under a charming pergola that covers the whole courtyard of the cottage, surrounded by nature.
The restaurant Da Brun offers a typical cuisine made with products of the territory of Treviso. Among the appetizers you can find the soppressa trevigiana, while among the first courses you can find the tagliatelle with roe deer. But it is the meat that is the protagonist of the menu, cooked in a natural way on the open grill or on the spit, to exalt its flavours and textures. Beef, chicken and pork meat, all rigorously of high quality and coming from a controlled supply chain, are always a good choice on the menu.
For those who are vegetarians, it is also possible to order vegetables picked from the restaurant garden and cooked on the grill, always respecting the right times to enhance each product.
But there is not only the grill: another specialty of the house (and of the whole Veneto region) are the mixed boiled beef, chicken, capon and pork, accompanied by mustard and Cren, a sauce with a very strong taste based on horseradish, bread and sugar. All accompanied by excellent local wines.
Finally, you can taste the local cheeses (fresh, mature and extravagant) or one of the many homemade desserts made by the Brun family.
Specialty of the restaurant is also the coffee prepared according to the alpine tradition, prepared by filling the mocha with grappa instead of water: a coffee that warms up even in the coldest winters!
The restaurant Da Brun is also the ideal location for an event or ceremony. Here you can celebrate weddings, christenings, confirmations, birthdays but also meetings and graduation parties. A unique place with an enchanting view. The Prosecco area, between Valdobbiadene and Conegliano, is in fact protected by the FAI and also praised by the poet Zanzotto who defines the village of Cison di Valmarino (in particular the hamlet of Rolle) as a postcard sent by the gods.
