In a quiet corner of Umbria made up of olive groves, vineyards, meadows and Mediterranean scrub, Enzo and his family work for a warm and sincere hospitality. The raw materials come from twenty hectares of land on the slopes of the Martani Mountains. In the kitchen, Mamma Serenella and Aunt Rosella decide the seasonal menu: schiacciate, cured meats, homemade pasta, roasts cooked in the fireplace of the large hall, homemade cakes and coffee with mocha. The company offers food service for both guests and outsiders with local raw materials (vegetables, bread, pasta, oil, meat, cakes, liquor) and processed in a simple and strictly traditional way. The company has also eleven rooms made from the old barn, a stone swimming pool surrounded by greenery and a riding school for horseback riding. Restored and recovered do-it-yourself family furniture are the simple and discreet frame to the rooms, all with private bathroom and linen. The Bernardi family has single, double and triple rooms and a small apartment. Breakfast and meals are served in the quiet and welcoming dining room. Completely immersed in a nature reserve and on the Martani trekking trail, you will find yourself in an authentic and protected environment. From the amazement of the children to the sight of the animals, the fruits and the old agricultural tools, the idea of an open-air laboratory was born: from the big lime tree to the entrance among the aromatic herbs and in the company of the dog Poldo, a path winds its way from the horses to the bradp state, to the vegetable garden to the big stable. Here there is our large farm with newborn chicks, laying hens, guinea fowl, pigeons, lambs, sheep, pigs and rabbits. For a year now, the Fontana delle Pere has been open to: nursery schools, kindergartens, primary and secondary schools. Among the newborn bunnies, the chicks and the Earth with its history and its languages we would like children and young people to touch nature with its nuances, its vitality and its teachings.
