Franco Cannalire's workshop was founded in Grottaglie in the early 80's. Thanks to his artistic education he has always had a vision based on originality. The material which expresses all his creativity has always been GLASS. Having acquired the necessary technical and technological knowledge, he decided to devote himself to the processing of Murano glass (with material taken directly from the source).
In the 90's the glass beads were born: they were worked with open flame and then immediately used to create jewelry that easily let the artisan understand that this was his way because his new creations found soon success and approval from the public. He decided to move first to Ceglie Messapica and then to one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Cisternino.
The artistic workshop is located in one of the many small places in the square, where he decided to create a brand that will be appreciated by Italian and foreign tourists, the latter defining it as the store of pearls for excellence of the Itria Valley. Among Moi's many creations, bracelets stand out, distinguished by a unique peculiarity: «a well handworked buttonhole, followed by monochromatic or polychromatic pearls, separated by knots and ending with a button closure, all in fine Murano glass».
Each bracelet has a name: the author takes insipiration from the impressions he gets when he composes them. Over the years a lasting trend is born. Lately unscrupulous producers have been copying the basic models changing only their name, but according to the primary author they are «only copies without fantasy», underlining that "The original c'est MOI", slogan of the Moi production. The infinite imagination and the high quality of the materials are the strong points of the MOI brand.
