Here everything revolves around the water. The landscape has as the salient mills, watercourses, mountain streams that pour down and sawmills. Already in the past centuries the inhabitants of this valley have understood the value and especially the force of the water, as evidenced by the historical mills of the municipal territory, that are used to produce energy. Today for example the artificial Lake Neves in Selva dei Molini is not only a beautiful photographic reason, but also a source of electrical energy.
To make thanks to water and to sensitise the population and visitors, in 2010 was created the Water Museum of Molini Valley. In a picturesque vaulted cellar in the presbytery of Lappago / Mühlwald Lappach is located the large exhibition space, which was set up together with the German artist Peter Schreiner. The center of exposure that can not be water, with all its strength and magic.
The museum manages to convey many interesting information and important on this very precious good, but the real exposure is outdoor, staged by Mother Nature. From the museum depart in fact thematic paths through the gorge of Lappago / Mühlwald Lappach, at a time of the artificial Lake Neves or of the old mills of Selva di Dentro.
