the Pino Pascali Foundation of Polignano a Mare exposes and exploits the works of Pino Pascali, authoritative exponent of arte povera, preserved in the museum dedicated to him was inaugurated in 1998 and transferred from 2010 in a former slaughterhouse nineteenth-century.
Organizes every year the prize Pino Pascali, already established in 1969 by the parents of the artist and presided over the years from 1969 to 1979, from Palma Bucarelli. The award was subsequently resumed in 1997, with the same Regulation, by the current director of the Fondazione Rosalba Branà. Attributed to important artists on the international scene (Mochetti to Kounellis), was assigned, in order, to the following personalities: Achille Bonito Oliva (1997), Giovanni Albanese (2002), Marco Giusti (2003), Studio Azzurro (2005), Lida Abdul (2006), Adrian Paci (2007), Jan Fabre (2008), Jake & Dinos Chapman (2010), Bertozzi & Casoni (2011), Nathalie Djurberg (2012), Mat Collishaw (2013), Fabrizio Plessi (2014), AES F (2015), Christiane Löhr (2016).
The Foundation exposes some of the works of Pino Pascali fruit of a bequest by parents and private, the works of the artists prize winners Pino Pascali and those of the most significant artists pugliesi crossing the museum in the context of personal and collective exhibitions. In 2013 the Foundation Pino Pascali has obtained recognition by Artribune as the best Foundation of art in Italy.
