Church of Sant'Anna

What to see in Ayas, Aosta, Aosta Valley

The Church of Sant'Anna in Champoluc today houses a cinema, but a time was the main church of the village. The first chapel in honor of Sant'Anna was built in 1715, while the current was desired by the pastor François-Marie Dandrès in 1836. Above the door nineteenth-century you can still see the circular fresco depicting Saint Anne who teaches the Sacred Scriptures to Mary, behind them you can see San Gioacchino. The wooden altar and the paintings of the old church are kept today inside the new religious building, next to the old.
