TerraQuilia Winery is located in Guiglia, a charming Modenese town that is part of the Unione Terre di Castelli. This reality of the Modenese Apennines was born from a family dream and the tradition that Arturo Mattioli has passed on to his children, from generation to generation.

The entrepreneurial project was born in 2004 on the "Conca d'oro estate in Guiglia", immersed in unspoiled nature, at about 490 meters above sea level, between the castle and the rolling hills. The ideal place in which to undertake this slightly extreme mountain viticulture and where today a number of vines suited to the area are located including: lambrusco graspa rossa, pignoletto, trebbiano and malbo gentile.

In the following years, in order to proceed with the vinification of these grapes, some rooms of the structure were renovated to create a modern, adequate but above all functional winery.

The TerraQuilia (land of Guiglia) brand was born in 2009, in conjunction with the marketing of the first bottles. Starting in 2010, the winery expands more and more, with the acquisition of two more farms with different exposures: Podere Fratelli Bandiera and Podere La Riva.
In the former, red grapes are grown, including Lambrusco Grasparossa and Malbo Gentile; in the latter, mainly Sangiovese and white grapes are grown: Pignoletto, Trebbiano, Moscato, Malvasia and Verdicchio di Guiglia.

TerraQuilia wines are closely linked to the terroir and none of them are filtered, so much so that the level of Sulfur is less than 30 mg / l and the entire production is certified organic, as well as vegan. Therefore, the winery lends itself to producing its wines as naturally as possible and with respect for the land that surrounds it.

The TerraQuilia winery organizes guided tours for anyone interested in discovering the particularities of this land through personalized wine tours and tastings of local specialties. The tours allow guests to discover the secrets of the 'Ancestral Method' of wine production, assisting if requested, the manual ripping of a bottle to be then tasted with local products.
