An inclination for receiving guests, a legacy passed down for over more than a century. Starting from Ivan, the shoemaker. He would always offer his clients something to nibble on while they waited for him to finish the job. The first tender roots.
Roots that have gone deep through five generations of innkeepers, up to Avguštin and Gabriella, and their dream: an Osteria, a cellar filled with precious wines (12.000 bottles), a farm, and a guest house. Lokanda Devetak. All this is possible with the help of their daughters Sara, Tatjana, Tjaša and Mihaela.
The rooms are full comforted (minibar, satellite TV, telephone, air conditioning, shower cubicles with steam and hydromassage functions, hairdryer and quality accessories, premier quality bedding, desk/writing table). The breakfast is very rich - carsic style, made with almost our homemade products (jam, juice, sweets, pies, vegetables, fruits) or local KM 0 products (cheese, ham, salami, fruits).
The small village is perfect to have a base, it is near to the Friuli cities like Udine, Gorizia, Trieste, but also just a good hour from Ljubljana and the mountains of Kranjska gora and Tarvisio, and also near the sea.
Variable holidays: 10 days of winter and 15 days of summer.
Opening time:
Monday and Tuesday closed all day.
Wednesday and Thursday open for dinner only.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday open lunch and dinner.
