The museum comes from the collection of Princess Bona Borromeo Arese and collects vintage toys, among the most beautiful in European history. Over one thousand dolls are exhibited in the most known and widespread materials belonging to the ancient tradition: eighteenth-century dolls made of wood, French dolls with closed mouths, bébé-caractères. The succession of used materials, wax, papier-mâché, Porcelain Biscuit, composition, fabric, celluloid and plastic materials, illustrate the historical and cultural evolution of this extraordinary object. The richly dressed dolls with miniature kits are displayed together with many toys of various kinds, domestic accessories, rare furniture models, fully furnished doll houses, miniature shops, board games and educational, books, magazines, photographs , collections of ex libris with a childish subject, figurines, everything always absolutely relevant to the world of children.
