Palazzo Salis a is one of the main historical buildings of Valtellina. The building has been completely restored and welcomes thousands of visitors every year. With its 6000 m² surface, decorated with frescoes and furnished with period objects, the Palazzo Salis is under the Superintendence for the protection of cultural, artistic and landscape heritage of Lombardy. It is also equipped with the most famous internal garden of the whole Valtellina. Inside we find a museum circuit of ten richly decorated and frescoed rooms, including the "Saloncello", a prestigious vaulted hall with trompe l'oeil frescoes. All the rooms of the museum overlook the 16th century court known as "corte rustica" or "corte dei cavalli" and access to the museum takes place by climbing the staircase of the Hall of Honor, which has a frescoed ceiling with 18th-century paintings.
