Church of Santa Maria Assunta

What to see in Arquà Petrarca, Padova, Veneto

Inside it is worth mentioning the central altar, coming from the Hermitage of Monte Rua and the work of Francesco Rizzi, of the Bonazza school, with statues of the Virgin and the Archangel Gabriel, two busts of Saints and two Angels. The altarpiece dedicated to the Assumption is still the work of Palma the Younger. From the restorations carried out at the beginning of the twentieth century the presence of frescos from the Venetian-Byzantine school (XI century) and post Giottesca (XV century) emerged.
