Audiovisual Museum of the Resistance

What to see in Fosdinovo, Massa-Carrara, Tuscany

The Audiovisual Museum of the Resistance of Fosdinovo is dedicated to the historical period of the Italian Resistance in Lunigiana, in Tuscany. It was inaugurated on 3 June 2000 in the presence of the then Minister of Public Education Tullio De Mauro.

Its interior holds numerous testimonies audio-visual of the struggle of resistance in the territory Apuo-Lunigiana, and then in the area surrounding the infamous Gothic Line, in which took place bloody battles between partisans and nazifascisti occupants. The museum was born thanks to the commitment and determination of Paolino Ranieri, partisan and first mayor Sarzana (SP), is dedicated to the memory of commanders partisans Alessandro Brucellaria "Memo" and Flavio Bertone "Walter" and to all those who have fought for freedom. In its interior there are, since 2000, also videoambientazioni paths and permanent interactive of Studio Azzurro, Italian center of artistic experimentation and video production.
