Pile-dwelling Site of Fondo Tacoli

The pile-dwelling Site of Fondo Tacoli is inserted in the Natural Reserve of morainic complex of Castellaro Lagusello. In 2011 the site has been included in the list of Unesco World Heritage, within the framework of transnational serial sites prehistoric lake-dwelling around the Alps. Of the site are part 19 inhabited italian lake-dwellings, of which 10 are located in Lombardy. The excavations carried out between 1976 and 1979, have led to the discovery of an important settlement attributable to the bronze age.
