The small Suffrage Church also known as "del Carmine" faces the main square of the village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio with a plastered and squared facade above which is a stone cornice and a portal of Baroque culture with a broken tympanum.
In the last century, a monumental cartouche was affixed to the facade in memory of the soldiers of Santo Stefano di Sessanio who fell during the two world wars.
Inside is a small hall embellished with a side chapel covered with a lunetted barrel vault.
The high altar is dedicated to the Virgin of Mount Carmel also known as Mary of Suffrage has unfortunately in 2001 a theft, as some works of art were stolen, including two paintings depicting the Massacre of the Innocents and St. Isidore.
