the St. Francis' Church of Agnone hosts the Order of the Friars Minor Conventual in the adjoining convent, as well as the "Permanent Book Museum", containing important incunabula and medieval manuscripts. The original architecture of the church was typically Gothic, as the interior, transformed into Baroque manner. The facade is very simple, constituted by a rosette equally modest. Architectural element of importance is the ancient portal acute sixth. An enormous circular dome, with roof painting of emerald green, overlooking the cathedral, flanked by the massive bell tower quadratic scanned in three levels, the last of which is enriched by a clock for each side, and by a cage made of wrought iron containing the bells which play time.
The interior has a single nave with a wooden caisson ceiling, depicting scenes of the New Testament. The altar dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi, hosts a copy of the Crucifix of San Damiano. Inside the church there is also part of the convent, today turned into a long quadratic cloister, and in a small square with a fountain in the stone.
