the museum is structured so widespread in multiple locations of the town of Bienno, recalling the importance of the economy of the iron that since the XVI century has allowed the development and the wealth of the country. The museum complex is made up of five structures: the main office is hosted in the forge-Museum (type "cavadora", specialized in the production of manifatture "deep" as dried, pans and ladles), a toy library (ex forge Comensoli), a school of forging (ex forge Franzoni, at which it is organised the International Biennial of forging), a space for temporary exhibitions (ex forge Ercoli) and a mill-museum where you can see a smithy with flooring in beaten earth, next to a huge hammer in wood operated by a water mill fifteenth-century on artificial channel called Pot King, that supplied water to all the forges of the country. It is kept in its original aspect, accompanied by hammer, maglioli, shears and oven. The association "Fréar", constituted by masters Fabbri who voluntarily make available, organizes for demonstration purposes some passages of the artisanal production.
