What to see in Mamoiada, Nuoro

the MATer (Archeology and Territory Museum) is a thematic museum territorial and housed in the former home Golosio, dwelling manor one of the aristocratic families of the country. The exhibition was designed as a path of multimedia and interactive that develops in three thematic halls, where the visitor can plunge into a consultation advanced technological and reference data.

It is part of a fascinating room dedicated to the rich archaeological heritage of the village of Mamoiada: a plastic model of the entire local territory and a modern reproduction De Sa Perda Pintà to natural greatness, welcome the visitor by immersing it in an evocative account on the numerous monuments of Mamoiada, about the origins of his ancient landscape and the many historical evolutions have come down to us.

In the second room you live a sensory experience and modern; here the museum becomes a narrative habitats, active place of artistic experimentation and place of memory. Multimedia technologies used for interviews to the locals, favor the experiential approach and interactive language, valorising the participation with the public and with the virtual communities.

Finally we arrive at the hall of the narration, a small space dedicated to the deepening and listening to the local experiences. Here the visitor is experiencing great emotional involvement with the use of educational tools unconventional.

The museum of archeology and the territory he then became part of the museum system of Mamoiada together with the Museum of Mediterranean Masks and to the Museum of culture and work.

Such exposure may be regarded as a huge container where the user commences situations completely unknown (virtuality), moves freely between different content: texts, sounds, images, objects.
