The Pancetta Piacentina DOP is a tasty product of the ancient piacentina tradition with a sweet and savory flavor at the same time, with aromatic notes of butter and a delicate scent.
The Denomination of Protected Origin DOP requires a precise and detailed disciplinary of protection approved by the European Union that comprises the production areas, the care in the welfare of animals, the choice of the pigs that must have specific characteristics, the arrangementsà processing and seasoning.
The Pancetta derives from the sectioning of the belly of heavy pigs Padania coming only from herds of’Emilia Romagna and Lombardy. From this specific adipose cutting one obtains the so-called “pancettone”, whose squaring and trimming from origin to the bacon real.
The Pancetta doesn't not contain gluten nor milk derivatives. All ingredients are free of allergens and doesn't come from GMOS.
For a better tasting is advisable to consume it sliced on bruschetta of warm bread or polenta, is also used grilled diced to enrich the flavor of pasta dishes, such as in the classic spaghetti alla carbonara, or to flavor soups or roasts.
