Barolo raises the glasses for a festival to drink!

Say Barolo and think of red wine. The ancient Piedmontese village, symbol of Italian wine in the world, is preparing to host a prestigious event, Barolo BING Best Italian Native Grapes and Wines, which will be held on 4 and 5 May in collaboration with the association Piedmont Good Wines and the Cia Cuneo. A great event conceived by Ian D'Agata for Festival Collisioni dedicated to professionals and wine lovers, which in its first edition will involve over one hundred wineries from all over Italy. In this two days of tastings, Barolo will become a crossroads of different wine cultures of excellence based on the use of strictly local autochthonous grapes.

Some of the best wine producers in the country will be hosted, who have contributed to safeguarding or dedicated their work in bringing one or more grapes from their region to the maximum expression, transforming them into great wines appreciated internationally. The courtyard of the Castle of Barolo, thanks to an installation designed specifically for the event and to a large tensile structure with tasting stand, will propose to the public, through tastings and meetings with the producers, the great native wines of our country, from the Valle D ' Aosta alla Puglia, from Piedmont to Veneto to Sicily.

«The initiative is, like the previous ones organized by the same staff, of high quality and with great names in the sector, in one of the moments of greatest influx of tourists during the year - commented Claudio Conterno, Provincial President of CIA Cuneo - It is a unmissable opportunity for wine lovers to get closer to the territory and the quality of the great Denominations».

At the same time, some important seminars and tastings will be held at the Agrilab space in Barolo. Producers from different Italian regions and foreign professionals in the sector will have the opportunity to discuss and talk about the passion and tenacity that drove them to dedicate part of their lives to the study and production of wine from a particular native grape, leading to excellence a variety of regional white or red grapes. Barolo, the jewel of the Langhe, is about to become the epicenter of international wine, to further increase its already famous fame in every corner (and cellar) of the world.
