Like every year on August 15 and 16, the Zavattarello Castle Verme will re-evoke its historical past and organize an event to commemorate Chiara Sforza's engagement with the most famous inhabitant of the castle: Pietro dal Verme.
Throughout the event you can plunge in 15th century and experience two days of great party with ladies and knights, artisans and courtiers, who will animate the village with reenactment of battles, dances, medieval games and much more ...
During these two days, Piazza Verme will become a medieval marketplace where you can buy souvenirs, see craft demonstrations and experience ancient games.
There will also be guided tours inside the castle halls, where you will meet dancers, musicians, knights and gentlemen who, thanks to their reconstruction of rock life in the late 15th century, will revive an ancient atmosphere of a unique character; But pay special attention when you enter the torture room ...
Adventures are just begun: enemies will try to besiege the castle and Peter and his will have to show all their worth in rejecting the assault.

Two days of great feast to relive the magical atmosphere of the Middle Ages, immersing himself in the life of a stronghold in the XV century. The Medieval Days of Zavattarello evoke an event linked to the most famous of the Castle: Pietro dal Verme. In fact these two days celebrate the engagement between Peter and Chiara Sforza. For the entire duration of the exhibition, Piazza Dal Verme will be transformed into a medieval market, where you can buy souvenirs, attend craft demonstrations, experience the ancient games. Guided visits to the inside of the rooms of the Castle will be surrounded by an ancient atmosphere, with the reconstruction of the life of the rocca in the late XV century: Meet dancers, musicians, knights, jesters. And be especially careful when you enter the torture room... Planning to take advantage of the moment of celebration, the enemies attempt to besiege the castle: Peter and his knights will need to show their full value for rejecting the assault. To crown the event, a medieval dinner at the foot of the castle (on the evening of 15 August) with menus of the era and the company of rievocatori in costume, which will pay homage to Peter and clear and their guests with dancing, music, juggling, duels. The Living Crib of Zavattarello celebrates Christmas with a special representation, in the frame of the medieval village on "inside". Recalling the birth of Jesus honouring him with the reconstruction of the ancient life of our valley: within the houses of the thirteenth century, along the medieval streets, with tools ancient yet functioning of the Museum "Warehouse of memories", we will come back together to relive our past. The peculiar characteristic of this representation is the animation, that allows an active participation of visitors. Here can really feel part of this ancient world: anyone can eat freshly baked bread, drink the new wine, touch the wool spun and the skirt of the Sheep kept in pens... The medieval village which is dominated by the castle Dal Verme is the setting of tens of activity reconstructed during the living crib. The scenes are located in their most suitable premises: between the streets and homes of a thirteenth-century village that has preserved intact its town planning, characterized by narrow winding streets. Here overlook houses in local stone of medieval origin, that owners kindly open to listed and visitors: We can then find the baker who prepares the loaves in the ancient village bakery, a tavern inside a fragrant wine cellar, the Roman senator with his family in a noble palace... Entering into these rooms and walking for the streets, just a glance to realize how little has changed the original aspect of this place. Zavattarello
