Exploring the Flavors of Sicily with NEBROdiGUSTO

September on the Mediterranean's largest island offers more than one reason to celebrate, and this year is no exception. Two weekends of pure gastronomic indulgence are scheduled for Sept. 9-10 and Sept. 16-17, with the celebration of the "NEBROdiGUSTO" event in Alcara li Fusi, one of Sicily's most picturesque villages.

Located about 12 km from the Sant'Agata di Militello exit of the Messina-Palermo highway, Alcara li Fusi stands at 400 mtslm and offers a breathtaking view of the magnificent "Rocche del Crasto," a Dolomitic rock conformation unique in Southern Italy, a place where the presence of griffons and golden eagles makes the experience even more evocative. There lies the heart of the event: the picturesque San Nicolò Politi Square, since then nicknamed "Taste Square."

A Journey through Sicilian Food and Wine Excellence

The initiative, sponsored by the Sicilian Region - Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Mediterranean Fisheries, the Municipality of Alcara li Fusi and private partners, was created with the intent to promote the Excellence and Typicality of Sicilian agribusiness, making known to the general public the products of all the nine Sicilian Provinces.

The absolute star of the event will be the most authentic expression of "Sicilian Taste," presented and enhanced thanks to the dynamic interaction with some of the best Sicilian "Masters of Taste." Renowned star chefs, talented pastry chefs, expert sommeliers... each of them will be engaged in making their signature dishes "meet" with the richness and variety of typical Sicilian products.

The Taste Square will be transformed into a lively stage dotted with different events: from the presentation of "Excellence" and Sicilian Typicalities, through guided tastings, to workshops, industry meetings, talk-shows, interviews, and product panels. There will be no shortage of live coking, award ceremonies and special events, all designed to make the audience's experience unique.

Visitors will have the opportunity to talk directly with the protagonists of Sicilian Food and Wine, in a fascinating and genuinely Sicilian setting. In addition, thanks to the setting up of a "Media Lounge," it will be possible to stay connected to the events and presentations live, thanks to the contribution of journalists, web agencies, TV and Radio.
