Wonder Italy: start the engine and discover the wonders of Italian villages

Wonder Italy is the dream born in 2015 from the desire to live an exciting experience, among the beautiful landscapes and architecture of the Umbria Region.
From the crazy views guarded by the Apennines, Wonder Umbria has become a widespread project, until it turned into "In the most beautiful villages in Italy": here is an amazing motorcycle vacation that will start from Umbria and will cross Tuscany, Marche and Emilia-Romagna, three caskets full of fairy-tale landscapes and picturesque villages all to be discovered.

Three villages a day

This is the route of Wonder Italy 2022, three villages a day to visit by motorcycle in which to admire the enchanting views and scenarios between earth and sky that touch the most intimate chords of the romantic and dreamy biker.
It will be possible to experience food and wine routes between Dozza, Brisighella and San Giovanni in Marignano, passing through Anghiari, Sassoferrato, Treia and Montefalco.
Three regions compared in which the local cuisine reserves authentic excellence, accompanied by a good glass of wine from local wineries.

The mission of Wonder Italy

Since 2015 and Wonder Umbria, the initial project has become a widespread format that includes some of the most beautiful regions of our Boot.
The project wants to share fundamental values such as friendship, passion for the bike and the same interests, love for the landscape and desire for adventure. All united by the warrior spirit that roars in the most convinced biker.
Wonder Italy wants to stimulate curiosity and rediscover terroir and fabulous villages, including the treasures preserved.
Art, history and culture blend wonderfully with the customs and traditions of the locals, without forgetting what motorcyclists like to gourmet: good food and a good glass of wine, including Chianti, Montepulciano and Sangiovese.

The program of Wonder Italy in detail

Wonder Italy will be held from May 29 to June 2, 2022, in the middle of the spring season: here are all the stages to visit explained in detail, day by day.

- Saturday 28 May 2022
From 16:00 to 18:00 the bikers will arrive in Castiglione del Lago, in the province of Perugia, a pleasant Italian town on the western shore of Lake Trasimeno. Here the bikers will be welcomed by the folk group San Domenico. This will be followed by a visit to the Palazzo della Corgna and transfer to the hotel.
At 20:30 will be served the welcome dinner which will be followed at 22:30 by the concert with musical entertainment.

- Sunday, May 29, 2022
The first stage starts from Castiglione del Lago with departure at 9:00 am. At 11:30 am, arrival at the village of Anghiari, in the province of Arezzo, site of the famous battle of 1440 between the Florentines and the Milanese, later represented by the genius of Leonardo da Vinci. Lunch will follow. Then we get back in the saddle and head for Loro Ciuffenna, another of the most beautiful villages in Italy; after visiting the picturesque area, we will transfer to the hotel for dinner.

- Monday 30 May 2022
It starts from Scarperia at 9:00 am for the second stage of Wonder Italy. At 11:30 am the arrival is scheduled in Palazzolo sul Senio, a picturesque village in the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines. After visiting the village and having lunch, we will leave towards Dozza, where we will taste a delicious selection of Bolognese recipes and local wines. Transfer to the hotel and dinner will follow.

- Tuesday 31 May 2022
We leave on time at 9:00 a.m. and head towards Brisighella: we are in the province of Ravenna, immersed in the picturesque Lamone Valley on the slopes of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines.
At 5:30 p.m., we arrive in San Giovanni in Marignano, in the province of Rimini, where we visit the charming village and head towards Pesaro for an overnight stay and where, at 7:00 p.m., a delicious surprise aperitif will be served, followed by dinner.

- Wednesday 1 June 2022
At 9:00 a.m. the engines will be warmed up and we will leave Pesaro in the direction of Gradara, where at 9:30 a.m. the bikers will be welcomed in the village from which the fourth stage of Wonder Italy will start.
At 12:00 p.m. there will be the arrival in Sassoferrato, a town in the Marche region in the province of Ancona. After the visit, the tour will start at 17:00 towards Treia.

- Thursday, June 2, 2022
The tour ends in Montefalco with a visit to Cantina Caprai in Perugia, the local winery that offers different tours of vineyards, wineries and tastings.
There is no better way to end with a nice aperitif and say goodbye for the next year after this magnificent adventure!
