Celebrations of Saint Maria Assunta - The Favoni
friday 1 august 2025 in Caramanico Terme, Pescara
In the morning, the firing of mortaretti, the botte scure, announce the opening of the patronal feast. At dusk, the bells of the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore give way, in the whole valley, to the illumination of the Favoni, rituals bonfires. The competition between the various groups for the most flashy Favone, it adds the feast with typical dishes and the music of dù cask, a small regional accordion.
