Celebrations of Saint Maria Assunta - The Palmentieri
thursday 14 august 2025 in Caramanico Terme, Pescara
The women, in traditional costumes, parade along the main road of the village, bringing the palmentieri: special baskets with frames in wicker, on which are sewn the pizzelle, the traditional sweet. The palmentieri are gifts of the Community to the protectress and their sale will be offered for the feast of the patron saint.
