A Roman legionnaire who converted to Christianity and was killed in the circus by his own comrades, whose body arrived in Camogli in 1710 under pressure from the Camogli parish priest Father Pellegrino De Negri, who was confessor to Pope Clement XI, is celebrated on the second Sunday in May.
