Lepanto Battle Reenactment

The town of Sermoneta organizes every year, on the occasion of the Feast of Our Lady of Victory, the well-known Historical Re-enactment of the Battle of Lepanto, which is one of the most important and awaited events in the town, a big draw for many tourists nationwide. The highlight of the festival takes place during the second Sunday in October, but celebrations begin about three weeks earlier with the traditional propitiatory festivities organized in the town's districts (Borgo, Torrenuova, Valle, Castello, Portella), which are festively decked out for the occasion with their own colors and symbols.
