Located on the Visconti Bridge in Valeggio sul Mincio, the Love Knot Festival is an annual event celebrating the famous Tortellino di Valeggio. This culinary feast is held outdoors on the bridge and invites participants to enjoy the delicious handmade tortellini one by one.
The event attracts nearly 3,000 diners from all over Italy and abroad. Most visitors come here to enjoy the outdoor dining experience in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. The approximately 600-meter-long table is well laid out to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
The festival officially kicks off with a parade of extras in medieval costume, re-enacting the protagonists of the legend from which the festival takes its name.
The Valeggio Restaurateurs Association organizes the event, and nearly 300 waiters, a hundred cooks and as many sommeliers work hard to ensure a perfect evening. About 600,000 handmade tortellini are prepared one by one each year. The quality of ingredients is extremely important, and all local suppliers are personally chosen by the Valeggio Restaurateurs Association.
The dinner ends with a grandiose fireworks display from the towers of the Scaliger Castle. This light and color show is a perfect way to end an unforgettable evening.
