The Polenta festival was born in 1972 on the initiative of the Unione Sportiva Abbadiense under the presidency of Antonio Mengoni and included polenta with pork ribs, sausage and fried food.
The event is held in the third and fourth weekend of September and is also surrounded by photographic exhibitions, painting, popular games, musical entertainment and enlivened by folk groups.
