Candlemas is celebrated with the centuries-old ritual of the procession of blessed candles in the Church dedicated to St Catherine. The event is deeply felt by the entire Christian community. As part of the festival, there is also the Candlemas Fair, a typical market with a display and sale of textiles, handicrafts, pottery and various goods. The event takes place in Piazza del Popolo and the surrounding streets.
