Nativity scene of Italy-National exhibition of the artistic nativity scene

from sunday 24 december 2023 to sunday 7 january 2024 in Massa Martana, Perugia

Celebrate the 800th anniversary of the first nativity scene with the special edition of the "Nativity Scenes of Italy" exhibition in Massa Martana. This year, the highlight of the event will be a stunning Ice Nativity, a 13-square-meter sculpture inspired by a Giotto fresco dedicated to the nativity of St. Francis of Assisi.

The majestic Ice Nativity, made of 30 quintals of ice and glowing as if illuminated by a million lights, will be a stunning attraction. Stored at a temperature of -17 degrees Celsius for the duration of the exhibition, from Dec. 24 to Jan. 7, 2024, this amazing nativity scene will offer a spectacular view.

The 20th edition of "Presepi d'Italia," the National Festival of the Artistic Nativity, is a true excellence of Christmas in Umbria. Attracting visitors from all regions of Italy, the event promises to be a festive occasion for people of all ages.
